Nyob Zoo HSU and Friends!

Today was the first day of lecture for this Winter Quarter of a New Year 2012! The previous quarter has gone by like a breeze, but I hope you all are still fighting strong and ready to take this new quarter down. Ensuring your confidence and full support, HSU too remains strong by your side.

On catching up with what’s good going on with HSU please attend the first General Meeting this coming Thursday of  Jan. 12th, 2012
General Meeting

Objective: Catch Up with the peeps and Find out upcoming events

Winter Quarter has so much in store you all on getting involved with HSU’s events.
The BIG events coming up are the two fund raisers: the Scholarship Banquet and the Masquerade Ball.
Following these, is the Higher Education Conferece where we as HSU will be inviting over hundreds of middle and high school Hmong students from all over California.

Also, there will be another opportunity for the Davis Hmong student community to fund raise for the org.
This will greatly benefit both the people and the org as a whole. Come find out about it.

Calling all HSUers!

Come join us for fun in the sun as we wash cars to fund raise for the following academic year! Funding will go towards fall events such as Freshmen Welcoming Social, Halloween Social and so much more! Your help is greatly needed!

The Masquerade Ball is Hmong Student Union at UC Davis’ largest fundraiser event of the year. Earnings will fund the 19th Annual High School Conference; College Experience Days; and other HSU events throughout the year. Come and support the Hmong Student Union’s fundraiser and enjoy a night of glamour!

It has been an exciting beginning of the year. Now that we all know each other a little better–in the Winter Quarter, please look forward to a couple of the biggest and seriously fun events that HSU hosts:

• Midyear Retreat
  • in January–a beneficial getaway with the club that you won’t want to miss out on

• Masquerade Ball–
  • one of our most crucial fundraisers of the year
  • voting for the theme is ongoing and ends on Sunday the November 28th–check your email to vote for themes and submit them to Xeng Xiong
• High School Conference–
  • one of our biggest events to reach out into the Hmong Community and promote higher education as well as cultural awareness.

This event is held by Sac. State’s HUSA. Hmong student organizations from across California will come together and meet each other in activities, icebreakers, and socializing opportunities. We have some open seats but limited rides right now, so if you are interested, please come to our General Meeting to sign up to go.
