College Experience Days (CED) is a three days, three nights program held by the Hmong Student Union (HSU) at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) every year. This program is aimed at giving high school students (high school juniors and seniors are given high priority) an opportunity to experience the daily life of a college student. CED pairs a high school student with a Hmong UC Davis student. For three days, that high school student will shadow his/her designated college student in his/her daily routine–attending lectures, discussions, campus organization meetings, studying for midterms, grocery shopping, etc.
This gives high school students first-hand experiences of the responsibilities and life of being a college student. During those three days, the high school student will also attend workshops pertaining to college life, preparations for college, and other higher education workshops. presented by HSU. These workshops are supplementary to answering questions that the high school students may have during their stay at UC Davis. CED will be a very informative, educational, and fun experience as it allows each high school student an opportunity to experience higher education before heading there. All this happens in the midst of Asian Pacific Culture Week at UC Davis, a celebration contributing to an unforgettable experience any high school student would not want to miss!
PLEASE WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR’S APPLICATION ACCEPTANCE!
